"The Evangelisch-reformierte Kirche Basel-Stadt (literally: Evangelical-Reformed Church of the Canton Basel-Stadt) is a Reformed denomination in the canton of Basel-Stadt. In 2004 it had 51,000 members in six German parishes with 3 German speaking congregations, one Italian one French reformed congregation  and 49 ordained clergy. Member of the Schweizerischer Evangelischer Kirchenbund.

"The church was in the historicist style of the neo-baroque design; Baroque is the traditional Reformed unique city of Basel. Joseph Church was built in 1900-1902 by the St. Galler architect August Hardegger as parish church for the rapidly grown Catholic population in the small basel workers' quarters. It is with their original 1400 seats, the largest Catholic church in Basel.  Hard Egger had a version with dome plan  , but it got the version with a largethree-aisled hall for execution.

"The stained glass windows are from Friedrich Berbig . The choir from the altar painter August Wanner was created in 1926 and shows two murals of Joseph in Egypt. The altarpieces are by Rudolf leaves and Fritz Kunz (1868-1947)  .The organ was built in 1904 by the organ builder Theodor Kuhn made ​​in Männedorf.

"In 1988 the interior of the church was renovated; the renovation of the facade was made ​​in 1997. According to the city of Basel Communication of 5 March 1996, the building was taken after consultation with the owner and due to a municipal law of December 1994 in the list of monuments of the city  . "Weil am Rhein ( Alemannic Wiil on Rhii ) is a southern Baden city in the Federal Republic of Germany directly in the tri-border region with Switzerland and France . Along with their directly neighboring city of Lörrach it forms a regional center . After Lörrach and Rheinfelden (Baden) Weil am Rhein is the third largest city in the district of Lörrach . Since 1 January 1972 it is a large district ."(Link 2.)

Evangelische Kirsche Alt-Weil

This small village church was built in 1791.  It features a clock tower and checkerboard patterned roof.  The clock numbers are Roman Numerals on a turquoise background.

Many church and community groups meet at Evangelische Kirsche Alt-Weil. These include: organ lessons, St. Citizen Club, Tots Metting, Bible Evening, Singkreis, Oldest Circle, Confirmation Lessons, and the Song Project.  Sunday Worship Services are help at 10:00 am.
