To Lord in Your mercy please respond with "Hear our prayers."
Almighty and everlasting God,we are taught by your Holy Word to offer praises and supplications and to give thanks for all people. We humbly pray that You would mercifully receive our prayers. Inspire continually, we pray, the universal church with the spirit of truth, unity and concord and grant that all that confess your Holy name my agree in the truth of Your Hy Word and live in unity and God's love.

Special prayers are requested for the following.
For the families of the 1500 killed in the earthquake in Afghanastan, as well as the 2000 injured.
A de-escalation of the war in the Ukraine,. May the conflict not spread. May God in the midst of the wickedness draw many tot he Prince of Peace.
God's guidance of St. Timothy's.
God's healing and peace for Derk (Hazel's brother-in-law) Corinne Burns, Bill Fane, Lynda (Paddy's friend) Irene (Bible Study friend) Seana (Bhakti's faunt) Tonii F (Erica' Francis' mother) and Amy Pankratz.
The US Supreme Court as it prepares to release its decision on abortion.

We pray for the following churches in the Anglican Network of Churches: St. Thomas Mission, Vancouer and Immanual Church, Vancouver.
On the North Shore we pray for: Westside Church and West Vancouver Baptist Church.
God give strength and direction to the Wyclife Bible Translation Mission of Shayron Thompson.

We remember before you Lord, all your servants departed from this life in faith and we bless your holy name for all who in life and death gave glorified You praying that you praying that You will give us grace, , that rejoicing in that fellowship we may follow their good examples and with them be partakers of your heavenly kingdom.
Dear God, giver of life, we pray that you will turn all Canada into a culture that values and embraces all human life, including the lives of the m ost vulnerable. the preborn, the elderly, the informed, and the handicapped.
We pray for all persecuted Christians. Give them strength and courage. And God, open the hearts of their persecutors that they may hear your truth and your way.

Dear Rob.
Happy Birthday to you on this 3rd day of April, the 20th year of the century of the 2000s.
I am sitting here at my computer in North Vancouver, Canada,wrapped in a blanket, on this chilly day in March. I should be at Bible Study, but it was canceled because of the
coronavirus crisis. What a year you have picked for your 80th birthday. But the good part is I get to sit here and think about all the good times we have had with you over the years, wonderful memories.
Of course, I remember your and Sue's wedding. It was a 3 day affair with party after party. Alan took videos with our new fancy and big video recorder. Each one was 3 minutes. Today he could record the whole event with his phone. Progress. One of the best memories, besides the beautiful bride with her hair on top of her head and her old fashion wedding dress, was was spending time with Sue's parents and seeing all the members of your family.
Since then there have been many stays at your guest house as we visited our kids in SF and on our way to LA to visit Alan's old high school friends. We even stayed with you when you were rebuilding your Woodside house, slept on the floor of the temporary house. You and Sue have always been so gracious.
Years ago when you came to visit us here at our house on Shavington St. in North Vancouver you helped Alan put up a post in our backyard. Yes, it is still standing. And each night when I take a hot tub I hang on to it as I go down the steps. Thanks.
But the high point of the trip was when Alan took you to the Port Moody Legion for a traditional Canadain "meat draw". "Pork sausages, hamburger, steak! Get your tickets here!"
Thanks, too, for being part of our children's weddings, Richard Halloween wedding in the Height, and Laura's wedding in Spokane. And of course, there was your witty limerick at Laura's wedding.
There was even the year Alan stopped for an overnight on his motorcycle trip South. He arrived at 9:30 pm, passed bedtime for you two, but you still welcomed the weary traveler.
Our most recent memory is of our meeting you in Portland at Alexi's house. We went out to a rustic restaurant to celebrate Alan and my 50th wedding anniversary. You and I sat on the restaurant porch and chatted while Alan and Sue organized where we were going to sit for dinner.
I think back over the years as Alexis and Katie were being born and seeing them as little kids. And now you have 4 more little ones, the grandchildren, to celebrate with.
So Alan and I wish you a very Happy 80th Birthday. We will be thinking of you on April 3rd, celebrating with your loving wife and family.
