"Märkt is a scattered village with a loosely woven. By A 98 the district area is divided into two halves. In the eastern part there is the village, in the western part exclusively an industrial area. Largest company in place is the automation technology manufacturers Conductix-Wampfler ." (Link 1.)  It is in the south-western tip of Germany, across the border from Basel, Switzerland.

"The Protestant church in Märkt goes back to the late 14th or early 15th century. In choir are frescoes of the 15th century. They were restored in 1959.  The interior of the Gothic hall church and the choir are by a triumphal arch separated." (Link 1.)
